Brief Description: Trimming the R-915 stiffeners / re-drilling holes.
A lot of trimming and grinding this afternoon. Basically, just cutting the rear of the rudder stiffeners to size so they fit all the holes in the rudder skin. They all need at least 1/4 inch from the center of the last hole to where the cut is made to leave enough "meat" on the stiffener. Since they are all going to have the same mesurements on th end, it was an easy matter to simply line up the holes and trace the cut lines on the one to be cut. Swapping left/right snippers to cut it out then grinding the edges smooth on the grinder.
When done, they were clekoed on the skin and all holes drilled to #40 sized for rivets.
