Brief Description: Prep and priming the vertical stablizer skin.
After completing the horizonal stalizer, the vertical was the next part to work on. Today I spent some time relaxing in the shade in the backyard and worked on prepping the vertical stablizer skin. I filled the slight rough spots along the edges of the skin and used the Scotch-bright pad to polish it to a smooth edge. Same thing with the inner skin. Just rub the pad all over the inner surface to give it a dull matte finish good for sticking the primer to. A bit of Acetone cleaning, then a couple coats of primer. I did just a little mor along the rivet lines again just for a good metal-metal protection.
Gentle scuffing the inside of the skin.
In the paint booth for a couple coats of priming with a little more a long rivet lines.
