Brief Description:  Another challenge - fix for the mis-dimpled hole.

If you refer back just over a month in the log, you'll see the mistake I made with dimpling the skin. (The common goof that most builders make!) see here - http://www.mykitlog.com/users/display_log.php?user=tomtraci&project=2260&category=9013&log=172804&row=12

I originally had the idea that I had already put in the dimple and the "bounce" I did was where I poked that incorrect hole. Now that I got to the skin riveting, I found that the dimple din't line up with the hole. The un-dimpled hole was really the factory hole in the first place. Closer inspection I could see that the other hole was out of liine with the rest anyway. Ok, now what?

I posted my photos to a local builder list and got some adivce. A friend suggested that I use a spoon and bucking bar on the back to push the dimple down, re-dimple the correct hole, then use filler when painting time comes. (Many other suggested the same thing about a month ago when I originally did this mistake). It took some careful pounding with the spoon (it was one of my older mis-matched spoons, not one of Traci's good ones!) and a bucking plate underneath. Finally got it down fairly flat and re-dimpled the correct hole. Next thing is the filler, but another builder friend told me that the paint shop frequently fills things like this as part of the prep process.
