Brief Description:  Countersink and dimpling the VS-808PP

Final dimpling of the vertical stablizer skin. No problmes to report. All worked very well with the pnumatic dimpler (did I say before this is a fun tool?), and the DRDT-2. I tried something different this time with the DRDT-2 that was suggested by other builders on forums. Put the male end of the dimple die on the top, then reverse the skin and dimple from the top down.
You have to be careful not to mis-dimple, but this way you avoid the "seek scratches" when doing it male on bottom. Lower the top part down just enough for a close reflection to aim, then gently lower the lever until it seats in the hole. Then squish it down - works great!
I then did the countersink on the bottom half of the VS-808PP spar. Again, have a genuine scrap of Boeing aluminum to test the depth to a proper fit, then did it for real.

Vertical stablizer is ready for pirming now. On to the rudder now!

If you let your countersink cage spin, you get marks. Hold it from spinning!
