Brief Description:  vertical stabilizer

This was the first part that involved cleaning up multiple pieces, Lots of holes to drill, cleco together (a cleco is a small, self contained clamp used to hold pieces of aluminum together for alignment-it's all those pin like looking things in the first and third pictures).Learned my first hard lesson in airplane building today. Drilling lots of matching #40 holes. Went out to dinner and came back several hours later. Picked up a drill, drilled about 18 holes and realized they were bigger than my previous holes. Turns out I had two separate drills sitting on the workbench and picked up the wrong one.Called Van's (with some internal cursing at self and calling myself names), discussed it with the tech and they said absolutely no big deal. Just use a size 4 rivet instead of a 3. High up on the Vertical Stabilizer and won't be seen cosmetically. Strength wise not an issue.I've since decided that near the end of the project, I may revisit the Vertical Stabilizer. If my standards (hopefully based on improved skills) make me want to rebuild the stabilizer, I'll do it.Now, on to aluminum rinsing, alodine and Akzo primer
