I finished up mounting the tail tips today. All in all this wasn't as bad as people were reporting. It seemed to go quite well for me, I just had to make sure I custom fit the tips properly. For example, I had to thin the tips near the leading edge. The fiberglass overlaps at this point and makes the tip much thicker in this area than in other areas of the tips. I'm guessing this might be the cause of frustration for others, because without thinning this area, the tips are very hard to get in properly. Also, I made sure to square up the flat edges of the tips, as they were quite out of whack in this area.
