I finished putting on the tail tip for the vertical stabilizer. I also took the right-side tip off of the horizontal stbilizer, so that I can re-do it.
I had trouble getting the tip rib on the horizontal stab to stay in place and line-up with the skin holes when trying to fit the tail tip. The rib pushed in and the last two rivets did not attach to the rib but missed the rib completely. The issue was due to the thickness of the fiberglass tail tips near the leading edge. Due to the fiberglass over-lapping in this area, the tip is quite a bit thicker here than in other parts. This makes the tip hard to fit and caused the rib to get pushed in. I realized this after installation and made sure I thinned the tips in this area when I did the two other tips. I will have to replace the tail tip rib and re-do it.
