Brief Description: Worked on SNX-T02-03, elevator assembly
I spent the day today working on the elevator assembly. I had trouble getting one of the elevators flat and aligned with the other elevator half. I caused a problem when I was attaching the hinge half. I neglected to compensate for the elevator horn assembly not being present on the end of the elevator when I was drilling for the hinge. As a result, the hinge alignment was not straight and this caused a slight bend to the flatness of the elevator surface. I worked on re-positioning the hinge holes slightly to get the warp out and succeeded for the most part. The alignment is still off a bit but it is much better. Hopefully, this will have minimal impact on the correct operation of the elevator. I have the horn assembly positioned and up-drilled for riveting, which will do tomorrow.
