I am closing in on my FAA inspection and trying to check off all of the required paperwork and administrative items as well as finish the last details on the plane. I needed to perform a weight & Balance check. The mechanic next door has a set of computerized/digital pad scales specifically intended for this work, and computer software to do the calculations and to produce a nice finished professional weight & Balance sheet.
I had some last minute prep work to do, like installing all of the access covers, prop spinner etc. Once that was done we rolled the plane over to Toms hanger to do the weighing.
The plane came in with an empty weight of 750# including the weight of the 1.25 gallons of unusable fuel in the tanks.
