More work fitting the aero plastics acrylic windscreen. This will be another instance where modifying the design, or deviating from the factory layout will be a time-sink.
I worked to trim the windscreen to fit the boot cowl joggle, and then to trim the sides to fall just shy of the middle of the structural tube at the forward edge of the cockpit doors. I also had to do some trimming and sanding to get a good fit and proper clearance around the wing-spar carry-through at the top of the fuselage. I cut the acrylic using a die-grinder and a composite cutting wheel. I then sanded the edges, first with emory cloth, then with progressively finer sand paper.
