During the past year since the last Fly-in. I have been making improvements to the house and yard to give it a more park like feel. One of the things I liked at the Garner's Landing Fly-in is the sign he has in the back yard. Since Rich Bilton across the lake got the FAA to designate Island Lake as a Seaplane Base, I designed a logo for Island Lake Seaplane Base and a logo for Bowden's Landing as well as a logo for TAB Aircraft and put them on a sign to mark the property as Bowden's Landing at Island Lake Seaplane Base. The sign that faces the lake is routed dimensional foam core and painted. The other side is a flat decal on a aluminum plastic sandwich panel that is screwed to the back if the foam core sign. I put it where the post that protected the water pipe was, that gave me a faucet near the lake. I just got another post and installed the sign between. I then did some landscaping to make it look nice and to keep me from getting to close with the tractor mower.
