Section 21 Brake Line Installation
Manual Ref: 6.1 to 6.5

The Assembly Manual said to use a pressurized brake fluid system to fill the brake lines. I could not find that and got the vacuum type instead. It did not work to draw the fluid out of the bottle into the system but I managed to fill the lines after pumping the brake handle for a half hour with a syphon hose connected to the master cylinder. Once the fluid reached the brakes and came out the bleeders the vacuum pump did work to bleed the air out of the lines.
The brake handle engaged the brakes now, but with the handle at full swing, I could still move the plane by hand. I saw no air in the hoses and bleeding the brakes more did not help.
I took the plunger out of the master cylinder and filled it with fluid. I reinstalled the plunger and found the brakes were locked now.
I removed the master cylinder from the mount and turned it upside down so any air in the cylinder would go to the bottom where the bleeder is, I opened the master cylinder bleeder and fluid shot out. I closed the bleeder and reinstalled the cylinder in the mount and reinstalled the brake handle and it works like its supposed to now.
