Brief Description: Page 4 Wing Storage Hoist Motor
After a full day and a night till 11:30 on a day that I just happen not to get a job, I was able to finally get the hoist done. It took several days of drilling on the bicycle sprocket before I got a hole in it to put a screw in it to keep is from spinning on the end of the pipe. Then I could start on installing the garage door opener to run the hoist. The biggest obstacle was getting the chain the right length. I got lucky and found a bicycle chain repair kit at Ace Hardware. It had a tool to push the pins out and splice it back together. It took several tries before I got the chain the right length. I had to mount the motor on its side to line it up with the sprocket on the end of the pipe. Then I had to put braces on the angle iron that I used to connect the opener to the pipe to keep it from bending and messing up my chain adjustments.
