Brief Description:  Page 3 Wing Storage Hoist

Since the wings are built and are going to take alot of space to store and won't be needed for a year, I decided to build a storage hoist on the ceiling of the garage. I got the ideal from the neighbors boat dock that has a boat hoist.
His hoist used a 2" galvanized pipe and cable, but I kept it light and used 2-1/2" gray PVC conduit and 3" PVC pipe for the sleeve and rope. The rope went through a hole drilled in the gray pipe and is looped over to a pully then down to the 1-1/4" pvc pipe with the foam covering, It goes through that pipe and back up to the gray pipe. When the gray pipe is turned, the rope winds up and pulls both ends up and lifts the hoist rest up.
I used three 10' conduit pipes so I could make 4 rests that will hold the two 15' wings end to end.
Now I need to figure how to motorize it.
