Brief Description: Landing light installation right wing
Drill the screw holes at the marked spots (A&B) on both ribs with #30 drill bit (4 holes) and deburr. Cleco the 10-32 platenuts in the holes and match drill the platenut rivet holes with #40 drill bit and deburr the holes. Drill the screw holes usin a 3/16 bit. Install 4 10-32 (K1000-3) platenuts with AN426 rivets. Installed one platenut with 3/32 pop rivets on the outboard rib. Installing these platenuts is a very difficult job. Trim 1" from the reflector mount. Test fit the trimmed mount. Drill and rivet (AN426 rivets and countersink) the end mounting plate to the trimmed end of the main mounting plate. Drill and rivet the platenuts (2) on the mounting plate for the retaining bracket. Cover the plexi lens with masking tape and trim the lens for the opening ( approx. 1" from the top and bottom and 5/8" from the sides). Smooth the edges of the lens with fine sand paper.
