Brief Description:  Crotch Starp Installation - Pilot side

Start with the installation of the Crotch Strap Attachment Brackets for the left and right seats. Use the OP-24 drawing and the short description that was included with the seatbelt kit. To center the brackets under the F-740 cutout (behind the control stick cutout), the forward face of F7117B aft bracket has to be located 3/32" aft of the centerline of the pre existing platenut hole in the seat ribs and in the matching seat floor. The aft bracket had to be placed vertically and the top flange had to flush with the top flange of the seat rib. I used a square to accomplish this (very difficult to work in the tight quarters of the cockpit). I also drew and extended a line through the predrilled platenut holes on the top flange of the bracket for future reference. Next, after securing it with two clamps (Picture - Fuselage937), I match drilled the holes of the crotch bracket into the seat ribs for the blind rivets called out in the drawing. Clecoed the bracket in place. See pictures.
