Next I mounted the Remote Control Panel Indicator by aligning the unit in the mounting panel hole and drilling (1/8th) 4 mounting holes. This was a slow process since the edge distances are very narrow and I wanted to make sure I don't damage the indicator unit while drilling the holes in the mounting plate. I turned out really good. After mounting the RCPI unit I removed the right avionics panel from the airplane and after aligning the mounting plate on the panel match drilled the 4 screw holes into the mounting plate. I will use 4 screws and nuts to install the mounting plate on the avionics panel. I will install the Audio Alert Indicator next to the RCPI on the back of the mounting plate as roughly shown on the second picture.
