Brief Description: Mounting plate for ELT Display and alert indicator
I fabricated a mounting plate for the ELT Display and the audio alert indicator using a 0.071 aluminum sheet. There was a lot of measuring to have the plate cover the Map Box hole and overlap the screw holes since I will use these existing screw holes to fasten the mounting plate to the panel using screws and lock nuts. This will allow me to later install the Map Box if I find a more suitable location for the ELT parts (to be honest the work on the Map Box was a waste). The magnetic nature of the alert indicator is a real pain in the tight panel.
