Today I measured and drilled the two 1/4" bolt holes on the fuel tank attach brackets (left and right). I installed these brackets earlier, but have not drilled the holes. Spent considerable time measuring accurate location for these bolt holes (edge distance) and used gradually larger drill bits to get to the 1/4" size. I also used a pre-drilled block (drill press) to ensure vertical holes. After drilling the holes I took off the left F-996A bracket and notched the hole to the edge of the part as per drawing 38. Getting to the bolts that attach the part to the fuselage if quite difficult (no room).
