Brief Description: Left Flap Control Rod Fuselage Hole
Called VANS about the misaligned left flap brackets we noticed the day before yesterday when we mounted the flaps. Talked to Gus; he asked me to send some pictures and description. Continue enlarging the hole on fuselage for the left flap pushrod. Continued inspecting the flap hinge brackets . The brackets are not 90 degrees to the wing lower surface therefore they are not aligned with the brackets on the flap. This causes the flap bracket to rub against the wing bracket. These are shown on the pictures below. Russ Kamtz came over to look at the brackets. His solution is to install thin washers on both side of the wing brackets (between the bushing and the flap brackets). We did this and it eliminated the rubbing. Took some pictures for Gus.
