I received the replacement lower control rod material today. I cut it to 34", fitted the threaded rod inserts, drilled through the combined material for the bolt.
Also received was the pilot side engine bearing support bracket. Understanding the plan on how to camfer the edges was not clear to me. However, Dan understood and we marked the parts and cut.grind, filed, and sanded each piece.
Once installed on the engine, we decided we needed additional clearance between the drive belt and the bearing support, be we layed out additional cuts to provide a little addtional clearance between the belt and the support.
Justin, took off the alternator adjustment bracket and cut off the sharp corners and reinstalled the alternator.
