Brief Description:  Control Stick

I sent some time looking at the control sticks and wondering how to put a PTT switch on top and where to drill an exit hole for the wiring.

The rubber grips I purchased were the least expensive ones I could find. I thought I could just put a chrome cap on the 1" control rod and mount the switch on it, then drill a hole in the grip.

The first problem was the chome cap would not fit and the thickness of the grip at the top was 10mm and the threads on the momentary switch was 10mm.

To solve the problem, I used a 1" brad point drill bit to drill out the grip to a thinner dimension.
Then using a dowel, I drilled a hole into fit the switch bottom. I worked perfectly to push the switch into position and secure it.
