Back on 12/26/11 I added a new 4' flourescent lamp to my shop in Texas. At that time I purchased two of those fixtures with the intent of installing both of them. Turns out the 2nd one wasn't really necessary so it made the move back to Michigan. With 12' ceilings and only two 100 Watt spiral flourescents on the shop side of my current garage I decided to install the extra fixture to provide adequate lighting. This time it was necessary to purchase suspension chains to drop it down to around 9'. It is being powered from a non-switched garage door opener outlet so I also had to add a pull switch. Now I need to figure out how to get it isolate the ballast buzz from my shop radio that is plugged into the same circuit.
