Brief Description:  Horizontal Tail Complete

Brought down stabilizer for one last trial fit of the elevator and fiberglass tips. Spent about an hour buffing the top of the stabilizer to clean - what appeared to be - embedded dust. I fear this could have been fibers from the original green 3M pads that were used to clean parts before purchasing the maroon Aluminum-Oxide pads. However, since it was only on the top surface it may have been some other airborne debris.

Roll-creased the ends of the stabilizer skins to make them fit better to the tips which slope away from the skin; another detaill picked up from Jay Meinen's factory-built plane. Loose-assembled all the parts so see how the horizontal tail will look when it's riveted together. For now I'm keeping the stabilizer, elevator, trim servo and tips separate to enable easier assembly when that time comes.

Re-stowed stabilizer upon which I placed a sheet of foam pad to protect the skin from the elevator which was placed on top. Top elevator horn covered with corrugated board to protect the stabilzer below. The entire bottom surface (facing up) of the elevator was also covered with corrugated to protect the skin from airborne debris.

Total of 260.7 hours on rudder, stabilizer and elevator much of which was spent pondering and thinking, not all of it productive.
