Located FTT-to-stab skin holes on the same lines as the end rib rivets with skin edge distance = 8.5mm.
Used rivet spacing tool to establish locations on the FTT along the tip rib with spacing (top and bottom) that came out just under the 40mm pitch specified. Rivet line edge distance on FTT = 8.5mm.
Rather than try to establish FTT in/out orientations using a square I opted to attach the elevator to use as a jig. Inserted a couple of 1/8" (3.175mm) spacers between the elevator ends and tip ribs/FTT's then drilled and clecod along the entire FTT length, fully confident that equal spacing was being maintained along each elevator edge.
Tip: Very important to have flat edges on the FTT's to ensure a nice, even fit. The as-received fiberglass parts were wavy along the edges.
