Well, my search for a 4x12 sheet of 0.016" 6061-T6 in the Houston area came up empty so rather than pay twice the cost of single sheet to have one delivered - and take the risk of shipping damage - I opted to take the 2+ pound weight penalty and substitute 0.020" which I picked up from Trident on my way home from work. This change was blessed by ZAC, it can only make those parts stronger.
Now I have extra incentive to be two pounds leaner when I start flying.
