Working on the Aerosport Products overhead console. Match drilled sccess panels to console #30. Final drilled #27 for a #6 screw. Then used #6 nutplate jig to drill the #40 holes for the nutplates. Countersunk the #40 holes for flush rivets. Riveted all the standard K1000-6 nutplates with AN3-4.5 rivets. Need to get the singlelug nutplates for the corners.
Since I ordered a different Matco nosewheel and tires and tubes from Dresser, I decided to try my hand at building the nose tire. Disassembled nosewheel hub. Powdered inside of tire with talc. Inserted tub into tire making sure to line up valve stem with dot on tire. Re-assembled wheel havles and torqued nuts to 99 inch pounds per Matco. Slowly inflated and deflated tube several times. Inflated to final 40 psi and installed valve stem cap. Now, how long will it hold air?
