Decided to finish control system install today, or at least try.
Verified all parts already installed were correct and torqued properly. Cotter pinned both control stick bases in place. Installed (temporarily) the left and right control sticks. Installed the F-1065 connecting pushrod. Adjusted the pushrod so that the control sticks are parrallel to each other. Need one final mearsurement with someones help before bolting in place.
At this point I noticed that my control sticks were out of alignment with the right one further aft by several inches. Removed the sticks and found that the bolt holes were off from the ends by 1/16" between the two, Also, found that the curvature between the L + R are slightly different.
Sent the pictures below to Van's hoping they can give me an idea of how to fix.
Got an answer within 1 hour- Due to manufacturing process, this kind of error is not uncommon and they will send me a new stick to match up with one of the existing ones.
