Brief Description:  Riveted the left leading edge

Yesterday, I was ready to start riveting the left leading edge when I looked at the plans and saw that I had to drill the holes for the pitot tube. Trouble is, I was not sure that I wanted to use the standard pitot tube. I agonized over whether I should install a heated pitot tube (which is actually installed in the bottom wing skin and not in the leading edge) instead of the standard pitot tube. Since the heated pitot tube is necessary for IFR flight into clouds, I finally opted to use it, even though it is much more expensive (about $500 vs. $20). Tonight, I finally started to rivet the left leading edge skin to the ribs. I riveted the first two rows with my newly rejuvenated pneumatic rivet squeezer. It works great. I set the remaining rivets with the rivet gun. It was not too bad to buck the rivets myself since I used the leading edge cradle to hold everything together while I contorted my arms to both shoot and buck at the same time (something which is normally illegal in this and several other states). I was pleased with the result. It turned out well. After I finished, I mounted the leading edge onto the left wing skeleton.
