Brief Description: Started fabricating the canopy rails
Tonight I installed the aft canopy rail to the top of the fuselage. I located it on the centerline of the top fuselage skin by pulling a string from the middle of the aft cockpit bulkhead to the middle of the bulkhead at the tail. Then, I drilled through the holes already drilled in the rail directly into the top fuselage skin. The rail is held on by #6 screws and nuts. Next, I started fabricating the side canopy rails. I cut them to length and then sanded away certain edges to get them to fit right on top of the cockpit longerons. I then clamped them down the right distance apart.
