Brief Description: Sam Beale takes delivery of his tail kit!
My building buddy, Sam Beale, e-mailed me that he received his RV-7A tail kit from Vans Aircraft. What a great day! Sam is undaunted by the challenges ahead. In fact, he just started receiving Social Security benefits and we all know what he is going to use those gummint checks for. When I arrived at Sam's home, we cleaned out a corner of his basement and then moved the two tail kit boxes from the garage into the new shop. Then, Sam opened the boxes and it looked like a kid at Christmas. By the end of the night, we had inventoried the entire tail kit and organized the parts into separate categories (horizontal stabilizer, vertical stabilizer, rudder and elevators). It gives me the greatest joy that my chum and building buddy is embarking on this journey. One day we will be flying in formation together.
