Brief Description: Worked on forward baggage compartment components
Today was Saturday and I had to work at the office most of the day. After dinner, I finally got down into the shop to work on the project. It has been a while since I fabricated the forward baggage compartment components, so I had to remeasure everything to make sure I was not going to assemble any thing incorrectly. I then prepared the lower baggage bulkhead, primed and then painted it. All painting activities take twice as long now that I have to first prime and then paint with the final interior coat. I then riveted the stiffeners to the baggage compartment floor and gave it one more coat of interior paint. Tomorrow, I will rivet on the final angle as well as the nutplates and I should be through with the baggage compartment components. Of course, I will not be able to install them until I give the interior of the fuselage (at least the part that is exposed to the cockpit) a few coats of interior paint.
