Didn't have a super airplane-productive weekend.

I am sort of, in a bind about what to do next. My panel is being worked on. I don't want to close in the front deck until the panel is done. That means that the windscreen can't be completed by then either. That means that the slider, final elevation cannot be obtained yet. That means I can't finish the slider canopy skirts yet. Etc., Etc., Etc. Bitch. Bitch. Bitch.

I am going to get started on the landing gear. When I was working on the landing gear weldments and reeming everything out, I buggered up the powder coat on the main gear. I found an epoxy paint that matched the powder coat pretty well and sanded everything down and fixed the paint job.

I took the sliding canopy as far as I could. I drilled all the slider tubes and cleco'ed everything in place. That worked out pretty well.

I started on the landing gear. I assembled the tires/tubes and brake disks. I used a ton of baby powder on the tubes and tires. This seemed to pay off. A lot of people complain about wrestling these things together in the small tire opening. I had no problem. I greased all the bearings and fabricated some dust covers to cover the bearing openings. I filled the tubes to about 25 psi. I am going to let them sit overnight to see if I am holding pressure. I could not find my valve stem remover to drain the air out of the tubes and recycle them with air a few times.
