Brief Description:  Tip cap installation

The tip caps went on without too much of an issue. I was really worried that not having a rib at the end of the stabilator would make it flimsy at the edges. I could pull up and down on the skins. After the caps were installed though everything stiffened up nicely. I can pick up one end of the assembly and the whole thing comes up with no twisting or flexing. I had to notch the caps where they met the spar so I had enough material all the way down to dril into. I got them as close the foreward edge as possible, but there is stil a slight gap. There is also about a 1/2 inch gap at the trailing edge. I'll just smooth these areas over, as well as where the joint of the skins at the spar are, with fiberglass patch/ bondo.
