Brief Description:  Rear channel

The horn had to fit in between the balance bar and horn brackets, and be drilled so that all pieces matched up. The placement of all pieces depended on proper placement of the balance bar, so I prepared both pieces (main spar and rear channel) by drilling the bar holes in both first. I then combined a couple steps and clamped the rear channel to the spar and positioned the bar through both pieces. I then rechecked the position of the channel in relation to the spar and used a square to make sure the bar was perpendicular to the whole assembly. I then drilled and clecoed the channel in order to hold everything in place. Next, I attached the horn brackets to the spar, then the rear brackets to the channel. This ensured all parts lined up true to ech other. The balance bar had pre-drilled holes in it for the rear brackets, horn brackets, and upper portion of the horn. The pre-drilled holes in the horn were undersized, but did not line up with the center of the holes in the balance bar. I had to do the best I could to enlargen the holes on one side only so that the holes would all line up.
