Began with spar as directed on I.P.L. Located center line and marked off location for where balance bar would go through. I then measured out the locations of all brackets and spars so that I knew where not to drill when installing the spar doublers. It was a bit difficult placing the 1 1/4" hole for the balance bar because it sits beside the center line of the spar with enough spacing for the horn to go in between it and the horn bracket (note placement on picture). I held off on installing the hinge brackets at this time. Mostly because I didn't have the proper rivets to do it. More on that in the hinge bracket section. The spar doublers were measured and drilled just like on the rudder.
