The inside door handles on my kit contacted the interior panels and the frame as the door was opened. This was causing tears in the "pleather" I covered the panels with, and the paint on the frame.
To resolve this I fabricated some plates out of .016 aluminum. They are held to the interior panels with rivets, and to the frame with the strongest 3M double sided tape I could find.
The rods at the rear of the door contact the side of the baggage compartment. This will eventually result in wear in the fabric covering, and if the door is just right, there is a possibility the rod can get stuck between the frame and the baggage compartment side. For these reasons, I fabricated some similar plates for this area.
The other area of concern was the bottom side of the wing, which the doors contact when they are fully opened. For this I used some 2" wide, 1/16" thick foam rubber from McMaster-Carr to make some oval shaped stop pads.
