Based on some operators reports of high oil temperatures in some environments, I added an auxiliary oil cooler to the firewall of my plane.
The cooler is an automatic transmission cooler available from Summit racing, and is the same as used by the factory on their planes.
I used a mixture of high temp RTV and MEK to make a hose end dip, which worked like a charm. Just mix a batch that is like thin pudding, dip the hose, wipe excess of outside of hose, and let it dry - Professional results for pennies.
