Brief Description:  Learning how paint - Success!

Here is what I learned during the process of painting my test panels.
* If there is a bug in the room, he will get in the paint.
* The air gage that comes with the harbor freight air regulator cannot be cleaned off with acetone.
* Cutting the booties off the Tyvek suit works much better.
* An air pressure of 23-25 lbs at the gun seems to work well for me.
* Holding the gun too close will create "waves" in the primer.
* A DA sander on low speed with 600 grit paper, wet, will make short work of removing the waves.
* Using the "spread hand" trick to set the spray gun spacing is effective at preventing waves.
* A couple of clothing hooks are very handy to hang the respirator(s), tyvek suit, and various solvent rags so they don't get dirty.
* Running out of clear before you are done can be rectified by quickly mixing up some more and starting where you ran out, but I did get a little bit of orange peel on that panel.
* Working in a "C" instead in circles will keep the hoses from getting tangled.

I am thrilled with how the panels came out.

Tomorrow I get to learn the cut and buff process.
