I received my correct strut mounting brackets from RANS, so installed them as well as the compression and diagonal struts.
Comments:
* Installing the strut mounting plates was straight forward, but I took my time and made sure everything fit tight. I used a unibit to drill the 3/8 holes in the spars, but the bushings would not go in, so I used a 3/8 drill bit by hand which was just enough to achieve a snug fit. I slipped the bushings in and ran a thin feeler gage along the spar to see if it would catch on any protruding length of bushing. All of them were a few thousandths long, so I tapped them out about 1/16", ran a file across the end 25 strokes, check and repeat.
* The struts went in according to the directions. There isn't really a mention in the manual indicating when to put in the diagonal struts, but I put them in directly after the compression struts. I wanted them in so the wing frame is square when I start working with the bell crank mounts.
