Completed several tasks to finish out the "pre-covering" list for the fuselage.
- Ran the trim wire through the side former. - Installed the header tank mounts. - Fit the floor boards and installed the nut plates. - Installed the fuel pump nut plates. - Fit and installed the upper aft baggage panels. - Installed rudder cables and stage 7 pullies. - Drilled the seat belt mounts to 5/16".
Comments:
* While installing the seat detents I found that having extended 1/8" and 1/4" drill bits were invaluable. I had read where others used an angle drill, but mine would not fit.
* My rivnut squeezer also would not fit, so I used the screw and nut technique described in the manual to install the seat stops.
* I made sure the side formers were as smooth as possible where the trim wire enters and exits, and I also applied some heat shrink on the wire in these areas to provide a little extra protection.
* When drilling the floorboard for the rudder pedal mounts, note that only the outer hole gets drilled. I would be easy to overlook this in the manual and drill both holes present in each of the frame tabs.
