Installed Aft Baggage, Vertical Fin Rib, and took delivery of Rotax 912 ULS.
Comments:
* The aft baggage assembly was pretty straight forward. I saw in another blog that about 5/16 needs to be trimmed from each side at the front of the floor, and mine was the same. I also trimmed a tiny bit from the top corners of the rear panel to get it to go high enough in the frame.
* I loosely taped the panels together, and only drilled and clecoed the floor to the rear instead of drilling all three of the holes in the lower rear corners. Then I set everything in the fuselage, lined the sides up half ways with the upper tubes and drilled and clecoed them to the frame. Then I just worked it all together with clecos before final riveting.
* The falling Euro and resulting decrease in 912 pricing led to the purchase of the engine. Time will tell if I did good, or if I should have waited longer, but I decided that falling Rotax prices are rare, and to take advantage of it while I could.
