Brief Description:  Finished Seats

Spent several sessions assembling the seats.

Thoughts and comments:
* Despite taking my time and double checking EVERYTHING, -- I still managed to rivet the flat plate panels to the wrong side of one of the seat back frames. So, I learned that if I call Eddie on Tuesday, he can get replacement parts to me for the weekend.....

* I followed the directions and drilled 4 holes in the head rest frames, and "pinned' them to the seat back frames. I found that I needed to "adjust" the upper two holes to get the rivnuts located somewhere near the center of the seat back frame tubing. -- One of these "adjustments" is visible if you know where to look. The others can't be seen once the headrest is in place....

* I thought that the seat back panels left a sharp edge that would wear through the fabric, I bent them over as best I could after they were riveted in place, and then for extra security I ran a strip of duct tape along the edges of the panels (taped the edges down to the tubes).

* I found installing the rub block to be no easy task. I had put a fair (lot) of tension into the tie straps, so I needed to use a C clamp to push these blocks into place for transfer drilling. I used a scrap piece of plastic to protect the fabric where the clamp contacted the top side of the seat. The fabric is thick enough that the blocks could not be moved once clamped in place, and they "bowed" slightly. I repeated the clamping until I got everything in place when the clamp got tight, and found that the "bow" disappeared when the hardware was tightened

* The pictures make the seats look gray, but they are black in real life. They are a different fabric than the standard grey ones, and Randy mentioned to me when I was at the factory that he took advantage of my special order to check out this fabric. No word on whether other black seats will be the same in the future, but I like them.
