Brief Description: Cut and Formed Rudder Stiffeners
Today I marked the rudder stiffener stock for cutting. Eileen used wiss snips to cut along the lines for all sixteen stiffeners. I then used the Scotch-Brite wheel to final form and smooth the rudder stiffeners. After the stiffeners were cut to the proper size, Eileen and I clecoed them to their proper place on the inside of each rudder skin. We then final drilled the skins and stiffeners, marked them for proper replacement, removed the stiffeners and deburred all stiffener to skin holes on both the skins and the stiffeners. Using the pnuematic squeezer on the stiffeners and the C-Frame dimpler on the skins, we dimpled all stiffener to skin holes.
