Brief Description:  Aileron Trim

Been gone for the past three weekends in a row. After getting the jungle known as my lawn mowed after work this evening I was able to sneak out into the shop and get a little work done.

I started working on the aileron (roll) trim install. As I stated before it is a manual system which is by my choice as it isn't used as extensively as the pitch trim which is electric. With the pitch trim you are constantly trimming for power and airspeeds....the roll trim is basically for fuel imbalances and pax (for the side by side models) for the RV8 it even becomes less of a necessity unless a person has a real heavy right or left side of their body...due to multiple replaced metal joints or bizzare asymmetrical body growth from growing up near a nuclear plant!

Anyway....I worked on the trim install. I had to open up the hole in the nylon block as the trim rod that goes through the block wouldn't even fit. After fussing with that a while I got it opened up and sliding nicely and not loosely. We will see how it works with the springs and cable.

I then started working on the Boden cable connection by getting the parts set in place and the cable clamp on the rear anchor bracket. Still have to get the cable routed to the panel and lever but got it started on getting there.....
