Brief Description:  Rudder Skeleton

Match drilled stiffners to rudder skin. Carefully trimmed the extra material off of R-710. Thanks to my build buddy Jim I was very cautious to trim a little at a time. Trimmed the piece several times, each time checking to see the fit inbetween taking a little more off. After about 4-5 fittings I was able to get it just perfect!!!

The key in building is not just reading and studying the prints and parts....but it is having other folks that you trust to either offer you info for things they have found to be potential goof ups. I also have a local friend Rick that has already built three EAB aircraft that are absolutely beautiful. He has been a fantastic local resource for me! Another great asset that is invaluable is the Vans Air Force blog website. The site has all kinds of great threads that offer a lot of information.

Not a long build session but it is better than not building at all. Time really "flies" when you get immersed in the build process!
