Brief Description:  Baffle Flanges

Now that the baffles are pretty much cut and trimmed around all edges and they are pretty much ready to put the baffle seals upon them, I decided to work the rest of the details like locating the tube flanges and ignition wire pass thru's in the back baffles.

I was able to get the oil cooler flange and hose located to an acceptable fit that I liked with minimal interference with the oil dipstick and used a Sharpie to mark the location.

I am also putting some blow tubes on the PMAGS for cooling that isn't mandatory but is suggested. So using some tube and 1 inch flanges I moved around and finally set the locations on the left and right flanges and marked them as well.

The ignition wires for the top plugs need to pass through the rear baffles, so I played around with positions and came up with where I felt they would work well and marked them.

I am currently planning to get the baffles powder coated and spoke to the vendor last week. We will see where the final pricing comes in and decide. Either way I have to get these last operations completed.

Well.....another New Year. Here are the hours of the building history. I hardly consider under 200 hours a "building year" as the job and life really put a damper on the build....but here are the stats:

2013 - 195.8
2014 - 61.1
2015 - 24.4
2016 - 105.3
2017 - 187.9
2018 - 244.8
2019 - 438.1
2020 - 657.5
2021 - 715.9
2022 – 709.7
