Brief Description:  Aeroled Landing Lights #1 & Misc

While allowing the canopy skirt to stay clamped while I give the Sikaflex more time to dry, I decided to get started on getting the Aeroleds installed. I purchased them some time ago from Wicks Aircraft Supply and wanted to get all the cutouts and hardware installed and ready for when the wingtips get installed. I just wanted to do one at a time to get started in case I messed up then I wouldn't have to do fiberglass repair on BOTH wingtips.

The instructions were pretty easy to follow thus far, and the template they provide worked well. I got the left tip marked and rough cut the landing light opening.

I took a paint marker and marked the brake reservoir....won't get a Lindy for the lettering but it identifies it clearly.

I decided to get some gear bolt retainers that will hold the bolts in place while tightening and torquing them. I have decided to use these and insert my gear bolts from the inside of the gear towers and put the nuts on the bottom....that makes it easier to check the torques at annual. Going into the gear tower makes it difficult and I question if you can even pull a good and accurate torque on the bolts......either way I selected this course. I may need to modify the covers on the bottom.....we will see. I painted the retainers.
