I got the second coat of Smooth Prime on the canopy, rudder, and wingtips. I ususlly put three coats but probably will put four coats on before sanding.....we will see.
I opened up the new can of Smooth Prime. This product is chock full of pigment that fills the pinholes and flaws. The pigment settles to about half the can. The first time I used this stuff I had a paint stick that took forever to mix it in.....an hour plus!
I went to Lows or Home Depot and found "the Mixer" pictured below. It works EXCELLENT! The two mixing discs are movable to get the discs churning the pigment mixed into the can. You have to go reasonably slow at first to not make a mess but I had it mixed thoroughly in a little over five minutes. A great tool if you are going to use this product!
