Brief Description:  BIG MOVE TO HANGAR #2

We continued with the loading process taking it slow and easy. The taildragger had to really go on backwards as the 20 foot bed wouldn't allow for it to go the other way and have the tailwheel fit on due to the length of the engine compartment. We finally got it all cynched down with plenty of straps and were ready to bug out for the airport.

A note about Kenny's Towing. Kenny is 76 years old and Ralph suggested I call him. I contacted three other towing companies and they varied from $300-$500 in estimates for the seven mile trip. When I called Kenny he said $75 to load it and then a mileage fee. I felt it would only be about $100 so I jumped on it. Kenny has a lame right arm from being a premature born baby and a nerve was damaged so he has basically been a one-armed tow truck driver since 1974....I am very impressed with the man especially juxtaposed with what I hear from the mouths of folks today that shun work at all costs. Anyway, at the end he pulled out his calculator and tapped away like he was trying to calculate the national debt and told me it would be $115 for the tow. I immediately went into negotiating mode and asked him if he would take $200 instead.....he graciously accepted quickly and happily (which caused me to wonder how I could have failed my "Business Negotiations" class when I was getting my college degree???) I would suggest you really look around when getting a towing company......this turned out fantastic.
